The Whitecourt Healthy Living Program and the Edson "Just
Move" Program are partnerships between McLeod
River Primary Care Network, Alberta Health Services, Town of Whitecourt and
Woodlands County (in Whitecourt ONLY).
The programs are a two-level exercise regimen designed to prevent,
postpone, or manage the onset of chronic conditions. There is an education
component included with the level one Program. The second level involves two-one hour exercise sessions per week.
Individuals living with or are at risk of developing a chronic condition
should participate in this program as a way to:
Improve their physical and mental wellbeing
Develop better balance, strength and cardiovascular endurance
Better overall health
The Whitecourt Healthy Living program is also the local program to address respiratory and cardiac rehab.
