Surviving-to-Thriving

Surviving to Thriving

Surviving to Thriving is a free exercise program for cancer survivors.

The program includes a twice weekly exercise routine and a weekly education session.

The exercise component offers fun, light to moderate exercise guided by a Certified Exercise Physiologist.

The mission of the program is to help motivate and modify the exercise habits of cancer survivors on or off treatment.

Exercise has been shown to be safe and beneficial at all stages of the cancer journey. Physical activity can reduce stress, fatigue and anxiety and improve sleep, functionality and treatment completion rates.

The Surviving to Thriving exercise sessions are offered Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:45am to 11:45am. The education component takes place on Mondays from 11:45am to 12:30pm.

The program is held at the Alpine Health Club 5202 - 2 Avenue, Edson (same building as Funky Fork).

For more information or to register call Meika at the Edson MRPCN Office at 780-723-2131.
Caregivers of the patients attending are also welcome.
