Surviving to Thriving

Group Description

Surviving to Thriving is a 12-week evidence-based exercise and education program for cancer survivors on or off treatment. This group exercise program includes two 60-minute exercise classes per week offered online through ZOOM. Individuals will also be given an exercise program to follow at home. The primary goal of the Surviving to Thriving program is to guide and empower cancer survivors to move in ways that feel good in their own bodies and to improve some treatment side effects.

Classes run from 11 am – 12 pm Mondays and Wednesdays.

A physician referral is required prior to participation in the Surviving to Thriving program.

Why Participate?

Physical activity has been shown to reduce treatment side effects such as fatigue, depression and impaired functionality which may last long into survivorship. Exercise can help improve physical and mental well-being as well as reduce the risk of cancer recurrence.
